Rate a whole range against a lot and lead with the designs that score best. Ratings are deterministic and versioned — a contours-based preliminary rating (PILR, an inset half-depth sweep) upgrades to a full ILR (the band filled to full depth) once survey or LiDAR floor levels come in, so the story holds from sales pitch to handover.
